Throwback Thursday - Math Fonts

1, 2, 3 Math Fonts

We've had 1, 2, 3 Math Fonts in GCISD for many, many years. We first blogged about them in 2012.  There are 32 total fonts like counting beans/cubes/tiles/bears, clocks, dice, dominoes, fractions, geometry, math symbols, money, pattern blocks, and place value.

They're not loaded on your laptop by default but you should be able to install them yourself following the instructions on the original blog post here:  http://goo.gl/AqdZT6

Once installed, the fonts will show up in Microsoft Office products like Word, Excel and PowerPoint.  They won't show up in Google Drive products like Docs, Sheets and Slides.  If you're using Google Docs, a workaround would be to type the problem using the fonts in Word and then take a screenshot to insert into the Google Doc.

Tip:  On a Mac, to copy a screenshot (rather than "capture" one that saves a file to the desktop), press Command-Control-Shift-4.  When you see the cross-hair cursor, click and drag a box around the area you want to copy.  When you let go of the mouse button, you can paste the screenshot into your Google Doc.
